I had a meeting with my mentor today, Melisa, who I meet with biweekly as part of the Cherie Blair Mentorship Program. We had a conversation about how - after interviewing a would-be client about my solution - I’m considering pivoting and changing the target market. This is interesting, because 90 percent of the research I have conducted has been on public transport in Lusaka and how this solution would work in solving the pain points within that space. I now have to go back to the drawing board and speak to the users in a different segment.
But, as a design-thinker, and someone who is advises people to hold their ideas loosely, I have to take my own advice and put it into practise.
Action items for this week:
Conduct user research inter-city transportation in Lusaka and Johannesburg.
Rework the value proposition and business proposal.
Here we go!
